Discover Bonaventure
Bonaventure is the eastern edge of Weston, and it is not one community. It is dozens of separate associations - Racquet Club, Coconuts, the Villas of Bonaventure, Riviera among them - built mostly in the late 1970s and 1980s.
What buyers get wrong is the history. Bonaventure was built before Weston existed and was never part of the Arvida master plan. It voted to join the city in 1997, having been offered neighboring Sunrise instead. That is why it does not look like the rest of Weston: low-rise condos, attached villas, townhomes and ranch-style houses on an older street grid. It is also the most affordable way into a Weston address.
One thing is shared across all of it: every home comes with Bonaventure Town Center Club membership, billed through the annual assessment. Pools, gym, tennis, pickleball, bowling, basketball and sauna.
Schools are not shared. Elementary turns on where you sit - south of Saddle Club Road generally feeds Indian Trace, north of the sector canal feeds Eagle Point, and the line shifts along the eastern curves. Middle and high are Tequesta Trace and Western. Never assume it from the community name. Send us the address and we will check it.
