Savanna is Weston’s largest gated community — close to 3,000 homes along the edge of the Everglades preserve, holding roughly a fifth of the city’s population behind two round-the-clock guard gates. Nothing gets built on that western side.

The centerpiece is Savanna Commons, funded by the master association: a resort pool with waterslide, lap pool, kiddie and baby pools, nine-hole mini golf, roller hockey rink, multi-purpose field, basketball court and tot-lot, with eight passive parks across the community. No separate club membership to buy.

What surprises buyers is the range. Savanna takes in both single-family homes and attached villas along 88 cul-de-sacs, so a single listing tells you very little about the whole.

Elementary runs to Gator Run or Manatee Bay depending where you sit, both rated 10 out of 10, with Falcon Cove Middle and Cypress Bay High above them.
