Discover The Lakes
The Lakes is a gated Weston community of 569 single-family homes built in the early 1990s, and the name is literal: the association describes it as surrounded by lakes on all sides.
Five sections sit inside that ring — Cameron, Fairfax, Hampton, Somerset and Verona Lake — along with 17 acres of parks and green space, a pool and cabana, a tot-lot and miles of walkable paths. A typical home runs about 2,900 adjusted square feet with four bedrooms and two and a half baths, with stock from roughly 1,500 to 4,500.
Here is what that geography means. Because the water rings the community rather than running through it, a lake view is a street-by-street question rather than a given. Many homes have one; plenty do not. Which section you buy in matters more here than the community name does.
Elementary is split between Eagle Point and Indian Trace depending where you sit. Students then continue to Tequesta Trace Middle and Cypress Bay High.
